Suggestions needed to improve my Shozam websites!

    Hi All!

Don't know a thing about creating websites but thanks to this software I now have a website for my art and I've also created one for my husbands photography.  The only issues I currently have are creating additional info pages and adding tabs in the index bar.  As an artist I'd like to have separate bio/contact, resume, and exhibit pages and I haven't been able to do that.

If there is the capability of adding pages and if anyone would like to share this information it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Suggestions needed to improve my Shozam websites!

    Hi Allison
I faced the same problem when I bought Shozam and wanted to have additional pages around my galleries. My solution was to create these additional pages using Microsoft Front page for the site design and to reflect the colours of my chosen Shozam Theme in the web. I started off with a Frontpage template and modified it as my experience with the software developed. Other web developing software would do equally as well but Front page was something that I already had. The advantage that I have found having separate pages is that I can carry out amendments to say an intro page without having to upload the whole of the Shozam gallery. There are more experienced Shozammers who might have a different approach but my solution works for me. I found the images on your site and that of your husbands very impressive so well done. My site url is www.myshipimages.com
    Best regards
    Bartynor

PS I suspect that like me you will get tremendous help and support from other Shozammers.

I agree that using another web design software with Shozam is the easiest way to get the code needed. As the last comment noted, you can make additional pages to link in but you can also modify the page created in Shozam. Keep in mind, every time you regenerate a gallery or album the page will be recreated and you will need to change it again. The only way around that is to make the modifications in the Shozam program where you can add HTML code. The trick here is to create the code using something like FrontPage or Expressions and cut and paste the code into the Shozam design. Here is a link as example:

http://www.gallerypg.com/WebGallery/Landscapes%20Near%20and%20Far/index.htm  The additional information at the top and bottom were designed in FrontPage but then copied into the Shozam program so if I modify the album or gallery, I still have the same information top and bottom.  My index page www.DSDigitals.com has also been changed in FrontPage but because this is a static page and will not change regularly, I did not incorporate it in Shozam simply made the changes by opening the page created in Shozam in FrontPage and modified it.
