    mrmoose,

To move Shozam from one computer to another:

    1) Install and activate Shozam on the new computer

    2) Move Shozam files from one computer to the other, in the corresponding location. Shozam files are typically found at:

    .../My Documents/My Shozam Galleries/...

    .../My Documents/My Shozam Themes/...

    3) Redo your FTP Upload Preset on your new computer.

Note, you may be able to copy some Upload Preset information from your old computer to the new one by copying the following file from the old computer to the respective location on the new one:

    C:\Program Files\Shozam\FTPPreset.xml

Passwords are secure and will need to be re-entered on the new computer directly in the Shozam Upload Preset

Regarding your webhost (Comcast) changing settings on the server, you will need to get from them exactly what they changed and then change (or create a new) FTP Upload Preset in Shozam. Here are the typical steps to take for creating a correct Upload Preset.

    1. Get from your web host the following FTP upload information related to your server/website account:

    • FTP server name
    • Username
    • Password
    • Clarification if they require your website (http) files to reside in any particular directory on your web server.

    2. Read the help file for setting a correct Upload Preset , enter your settings correctly and then verify them:

    • Click 'Test connection' button to ensure a successful connection with the FTP server.
    • Make sure you can successfully generate a timestamp with the correct time on the 'Test.htm' page after clicking 'Test View' button.
    • Remember to save the preset settings immediately after passing the above tests.
    • Upload your gallery once again.

    3. If you still have issues, reply to this email with the following:

    • All information provided by your webhost
    • All settings you enter in the Upload Preset Tab
    • A screenshot of your 'Preset' tab located on Step6:Upload Gallery page showing your settings and the upload error you get
    • Clarification on where you want your gallery to appear online (at what web address). For example, if your gallery is meant to be your main site, it will be something like http://mydomain.com ; if gallery is meant to be a component of your site, it will be something like http://mydomain.com/gallery .
