Shozam Community

Hi

 I know that some mention has been made of video already and I am sure you are working on some new features.  I would like to see the following:

• Image of first frame as video thumbnail instead of generic image as a default
• Option to choose frame for thumbnail
• Thumbnails available when viewing video on lefthand side as with photos.  This does happen when photos are being viewed in combined album but not when viewing video.
• For some reason not all my controls work in windows explorer using media player 10 support.  pause, stop, start seem to be the only ones, if this is generally the case then better video control please.  I am using SWF's.
• Slide show option for video/photo combination
• Slide show with optional music overlay for video
• Large and quickview appear to do the same thing in video mode, any reason?

I hope this does not sound too much, but I am enjoying working with shozam...

The reason why we did not place thumbnails on the QuickView Page when displaying video is that video is not scaled and it can be of an arbitrary size. It is possible that the video to be wider than the space alloted and will "push" the thumbnails out, breaking the integrity of the page design. Trade-offs...

Ok then if the integrity is an issue how about allowing us to allocate our own image per video and/or you auto sample the first few frames autosizing to suite?
