I am using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 browser (IE7) to view/test a Shozam gallery of products, which is effectively a PayPal EStore. IE7 has tabbed pages and the "Gallery/Estore" page is initially displayed in one tabbed page of IE7, the browser. When I select the first "Add to Cart" Estore-button of a session (first simulated purchase), the PayPal Cart is displayed in a new page in a new tab and focus transfers to that tabbed page. This is good behavior.
However, the "Continue Shopping" button on that PayPal Cart page does not re-diredirect focus to the Shozam gallery page. The "Continue Shopping" button is effectively inoperative. To actually continue shopping, the user must manually click on the "Gallery" tab. This is contrary to typical Estore shopping experiences in non-tabbed browsing, where "Continue Shopping" typically takes the user back into the visible Estore. This is not desirable behavior.
I will post this same message to PayPal as a Tech Support question and, if/when they respond I intend to post that reply here.
My questions to the Shozam forum are: Have you experienced the same problem with tabbed browsers (IE7, Firefox, etc.) and, if so have you been able to redirect continue shopping to the Estore? Alternately, have you found a way to force the shopping cart to come up in a separate window and to redirect focus to the Cart from there?
