Shozam Community

What is the maximum number of albums/photos that Shozam can cope with? I have a gallery with 2116 photos in 92 albums and now I get a critical error when generating the gallery. I have submitted the error log to Shozam for advice.

There is no inherent limitation to the software. Rather it may more to do with hardware limitations. Typical computer should not crash under the load, rather just take a long time. Unless the computer runs out of memory, then it can become unstable.

I have had the same problem... I have 5 albums with a total of 1557 pictures.. It take them all in ok but then when it goes to create the gallery it crashes. The error has been sent in.. but said it was a memory issue. I have a Gigabite motherboard with 2 G off memory .. dual core processor etc. built as a game machine so cannot see how it can say not enough memory !!! also looking at the usage when it was processing before the crash it was not even using a 1/10 of the available capacity. Is it an issue that in windows we need to set the memory available to this program higher ? or should it just do it by itself. As this is the first time I have tried the program having purchased it, its a little upsetting and after waiting till midnight last night for all the pics to load to then have it crash !!!!!!!!!!!!! Any advise would help. I may try and add each album one at a time. Regards Andrew

Sorry, I have 2 * 2G memory chips so 4G of memory in total Regards Andrew

It is a good idea to split the large gallery into two.
