WinXP
Preface: The View Gallery button in "Step 5: Manage Gallery" functions as a Preview of the gallery that is on your local hard drive. A tooltip popup on this and other buttons would be a good addition, explaining or reminding us of button usage; or, a help link next to the button..
Limitation: A significant limitation is that the View Gallery button only displays a preview in one browser, the one that is defined as the default browser for the gallery developer's system. I have not found a way to preview in any other browser on my system, but would like to check local preview in, for example, Firefox, Netscape, Safari, Opera, etc., before getting to the point of upload.
Example of problem: After adding and testing PayPal buttons in a gallery using my default browser, Internet Explorer (IE), I wanted to see how the gallery displayed/functioned in several other browsers. I copied and pasted the Shozam preview link into Opera. Choosing an "Add to Cart" button resulted in an error message to the effect that I had not (yet) legitimate PayPal access. This error did not occur in IE. I suspect that Shozam.com provides a workaround connection that permits a degree of cart previews invoked by the View Gallery button.
Reason for new feature: As much testing and validation as possible should be provided by the local development system before an upload to a web provider is required.
New feature: A drop-down list of all browsers installed on the system; previews could be examined in more than one browser directly from within Shozam depending on the browser chosen from the list. Optimally, Shozam should detect which browsers are installed and functional and should dynamically populate the drop down list when Showzam is initiated. Some web design programs even provide lists that include different versions of the same browser since not all users keep their systems upgraded.
